If one side of the jaw (right or left, not top or bottom) with a higher growth rate than the other, then there is a rotation of the snout. This is called a twisted mouth / Wry Jaw . A distorted bite looks like a ‘triangular’ flaw near the incisor. This can cause a severe handicap, especially in grasping and chewing of food. It also gives a very lopsided appearance. Some of the incisors touching opposite teeth, while others have not. This condition may be temporary and resolve themselves when the other side of the jaw will grow faster. A distorted bite is a hereditary handicap.
